General information about camping

Wild camping in a tent or camper/caravan is prohibited on the municipal territory of Andermatt. It is therefore only permitted to spend the night on official camping sites and pitches.

In order to have a secure camping space, we recommend that all participants reserve a space with the following providers.

Motorhome pitches Zumdorf

Would you like to spend the night in the smallest village in Switzerland? The motorhome pitches in Zumdorf (between Hospental and Realp) make it possible. It’s just a few minutes by bike to Andermatt and the start/finish area of the Alpenbrevet. You can book directly via the Naturstubä website.

Pitches Oberalp Pass

Spend the night before the Alpenbrevet on the legendary Oberalp Pass. Between September 6-9, 2024, around 800 m2 of pitches will be available for campers of all kinds just before the top of the pass. Please note that the pitches are located in a protected moor and that this may not be entered or soiled. There is no water or electricity connection, but there are mobile toilets on site. Pitches cannot be reserved in advance and are paid for on site (CHF 10.- per night).

Pitches at Realp station

Less than 10 minutes by car from Andermatt, we are offering an area for overnight stays in a camper in Realp from September 6-8. To get to the start in Andermatt, you can easily take the extra train or drive a few kilometers by bike to do a good warm up. There is no water or electricity connection, but toilets at the station may be used. Pitches cannot be reserved in advance and are paid for on site with Parkingpay (CHF 5.- for 18 hours).

Gotthard Camping Andermatt

Whether with tent or with camper, the Gotthard Camping in Andermatt offers the ideal place to stay in Andermatt. The campsite is located at 1444 meters above sea level, which makes staying overnight a special experience at reasonable prices. It is located on the outskirts of Andermatt and is thus very close to the train station and the start/finish area. You can book directly on the website of Gotthard Camping.

Camping in Goms

The Alpenbrevet parking spaces around the event location in Andermatt are primarily intended for cars. The following rules apply to camping:

• Small number of parking spaces (without electricity and water connection)
• Only for small campervans (length up to 6 meters), no caravans
• Spots cannot be reserved and will be allocated on site on a first-come-first-served basis. No spots guarantee!
• Costs for 24 hours: CHF 12.00 / each additional day CHF 10.00
