Ulrichen, irgendwo zwischen zwei Pässen. Die Räder lehnen Schulter an Schulter, die Beine ruhen kurz, und im Goms steht die Sonne so hoch, dass alles still wirkt. Verpflegungsposten sind keine Pausen vom Alpenbrevet – sie sind ein Teil davon. Vielleicht der ehrlichste.

Ulrichen, somewhere between two passes. The bikes lean shoulder to shoulder, the legs rest for a moment, and the Goms sun stands so high that everything feels still. Aid stations aren’t breaks from the Alpenbrevet — they’re part of it. Maybe the most honest part.
